It all started at 27 with what I’d call my “wandering spirit.” I met my life partner during a working holiday in Australia β she’s from Hong Kong β and we built our lives there for over a decade.
When political tensions between Hong Kong and China began to rise, we made the decision to immigrate to Canada for our child’s future. In 2020, I landed in Winnipeg (Manitoba) and eventually relocated to BC, where the construction industry was booming. Job hunting, obtaining permanent residency, navigating skyrocketing rent β all of it became the content of this blog.
